This policy covers the THE LAB website, https://thepilatestraining.com/, owned and operated by The LAB. The LAB is a 500-hour Pilates teacher training program, and this policy explains what information the website collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.
This policy covers the website only. If you apply to or enroll in the program, your application, enrollment records, and payments are handled directly with us, not through this site, and aren't covered by this page.
What you share with us
When you join our email list, we collect your name and email address, stored in Constant Contact, the service we use to send our emails. This is the only information the site collects directly.
If you use the contact form, we also receive your name, email address, and your message, and we use it to reply to you.
What's collected automatically
We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use the site (which pages get read, how visitors arrive, what device they're on). It works through cookies and collects information like your IP address and browser type. The data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.
You can block cookies in your browser settings or install Google's opt-out tool.
Our email list
If you sign up, you'll get the following updates: program announcements, enrollment dates, teaching resources. Every email includes an unsubscribe link that works immediately. We don't add anyone without permission, and we never sell or rent the list.
Who else touches your information
We do not sell your information. A few services help us run this site, each holding data under its own policy:
Squarespace, which hosts the site
Constant Contact, which stores our email list
Google Analytics, described above
Beyond that, we would only share information if required by law (a subpoena or court order).
How long we keep things
Your email address stays on the list until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove it. Analytics data is deleted automatically after 14 months.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we collect. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of your information.
Your choices
You can email us at any time to ask what information we have about you, correct it, or have it deleted. You can unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in each email, and you can block cookies as described above.
Changes to this policy
If our tools or practices change, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
